When I think of romance books, I tend to think of two main types, historical and contemporary. Contemporary romance refers to a book that takes place during the same time period it was written. The story could be happening today.
Within the contemporary romance genre, there are A LOT of subgenres, depending on what you like reading. Do you prefer a rom-com or are you looking for a small town romance? I’ve got suggestions for both down below.
