About the Andy Carpenter Series

This series follows Andy Carpenter, a defense attorney with an irreverent sense of humor who’d rather hang out with his golden retriever, Tara, than anyone else. Luckily for him, Tara feels the same way!

In this series, Andy and Tara set out to solve mysteries that come about because of his job. Unlike other mystery series, I would not categorize this as a cozy mystery (although many cozy mystery readers would enjoy this). It’s more of a legal thriller. There’s nothing too graphic for those who are squeamish about such things.

This series is great for fans of Sue Grafton and courtroom dramas. You’ll love it if you enjoy watching shows like Law & Order or NCIS. It’s definitely a series I could binge read!
